These monies are used to purchase the year-end awards and get us started with the costs of next year's shows. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Points are up through July 31st. Do not forget the rule for qualifying for year-end awards.
"To qualify for a year end award, a member must show in a minimum of 6 WQHA
approved shows in Wyoming and accrue a minimum of 10 points in each class.
Total points for awards will be figured on the top 10 shows, six of which must
be in Wyoming and the other four will be optional."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Don't forget the Region 2 Experience to be held in Rapid City, SD again this year. Dates are September 25th through 28th. For more information go to the Region 2 Experience website. If you have never shown but have an interest this is a NO pressure situation and offers a great chance to dive into the world of AQHA showing. _______________________________________________________ If you did not get the chance to attend the Wyoming State Fair you missed the opening of their new, all indoor facility. It is a wonderful place to show with 300 indoor stalls, wash racks and bathrooms. It also has a small arena in the stall building. Should you talk to your state legislators, thank them for investing in the equine sports facility at the state fairgrounds and ask that the legislature appropriate further monies to build a full sized indoor arena as well. It took over 40 years to get this facility and unless we make our voices heard, will take another 40 years to complete the entire facility!
